      Interesting design

We stayed in Townhouse room and payed 290 GBP/night. It was the most overrated room I ever stayed in. I wouldnt pay even half for it. The room was below any standards: •Size is so small that one has to be very careful not to smash the chandelier hanging over the bed •There is no bathroom. Tiny corner with a shower behind the curtain cannot be called bathroom •There is no conditioner in the room and as a result you have to keep window open all the time •window overlooks a graveyard

I just love how unique the rooms are and the Thai restaurant was very good, both the food and the service was amazing!!

Completely original decor! Very funky and decadent! Cooked breakfast is good.

Our room was in the roof, not much headroom...more like the baby bear! Didn't like the curtain separating loo / bathroom from bedroom - I prefer doors!

Fantastic if your a goth, if not its a bit oppressive. Plus swiped £150 off my card and has taken 3 days to try and get it back, as of yet still no joy.

Decor for sure, thought I was in morocco!

Price of all drinks other than bottled beer. I know it was supposed to be the abience, however having to use a torch to get my key in the door was a bit much!

Staff were attentive and friendly. The decor was particularly special in all the restaurants, restrooms, bedrooms and even the 'smoking area'. Each component of the Crazy Bear venue (as it is set in many buildings) had paid great attention to detail. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was good. The area of Beaconsfield is lovely.

Room got very hot overnight, So much so that we had to have the window wide open, in November! Food and drinks are pricey so be prepared.

Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Thai food was amazing. Wish the chocolate soup had been on the menu. Room was quirky, comfortable and spacious. Would of liked a coffee machine.

Breakfast service was slow, took ages to order and then ages for food to arrive. Not sure worth £20 pp!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly attentive staff

Room air conditioning produced on cool, luke warm air and the outside temp was warm during the day and evening. We had to keep the windows open and was very noisy from traffic and hoovering in the entrance hall below out room. We were offered peanuts with our drinks at the bar. we were not told they would be charged. we were also offered a vermicello after our meal at the italian restaurant linked with the hotel. This was offered without a cost being made aware to us. The subsequent bill showed that for the two small drinks £17.00 was added to the bill!!!!

The staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived we were made to feel special .we had a superb champagne lunch, around the pool, and we had room eight for our stay, which was the most amazing roomi have ever seen, the copper bath that filled from the ceiling and the wet room with its rain shower was fantastic. We loved every bit and would stay again without a dought .

Sadly some drinks are a tad expensive, like my fruit cocktail , but everything else takes over that .

      Village location... Quirky room design

Too hot., room inappropriate for young children.., received no explanation from staff when checking in regarding restaurant locality and times...

Fabulous experience in a very unusual hotel !! Highly recommend the Farm Shop menu in the English restaurant which is amazing value for money given the quality of the food, service and surroundings. Also Tapas selection at bar was excellent for a light meal if preferred. Half price champagne on Wednesdays is also a big plus !! Stayed in a townhouse room which was excellent and had delicious and extensive continental breakfast in our room. Would highly recommend.

Room was very noisy but not sure if that was lack of soundproofing or rather selfish guests returning to their rooms up til 4am and not seeming to attempt any volume control on their voices !! Early morning traffic noise too in town house room.

Well it's different! Whole hotel is very decadent and quirky. Great food in the Thai restaurant. Friendly staff. Good cocktails in the bar. Our room did look a little like a rock star fantasy from the 80s but bed not just for show - very comfortable. You'll never stay anywhere quite like it - I won't spoil the surprise but even the doorbells are funky. Lovely breakfast too.

Somehow the room hadn't been thought through. A curtain instead of a toilet door - there is one way to spoil the romance!!! Wet room bathroom floor very slippy. No basics like tea or coffee mean you have to order room service which can be an interruption. It is a winding warren and nothing is labelled, even the conveniences! The hotel is not signposted so hard to find. There is exclusive, then there is impractical! It's not cheap so be warned.

The food in the restaurant was incredible as was the attentiveness of the staff. The decor was incredibly luxurious.

I know it was the style of the room in which we stayed but it was just a little too dark. £290 was a lot of money for the incredibly decadent but somewhat pokey room. There was no place to store luggage, not even a bag rack.
